Exterior Lighting &

Space Enhancement

Good exterior lighting is what makes an outdoor living space usable after the sun goes down, and what makes it look finished rather than half-built.

Scheibe Construction integrates lighting into deck, patio, and season room projects, drawing on over.

25 years of construction experience across McHenry, Lake, Kane, and Walworth counties.

3 & 4 Season Room Lighting

We plan season room lighting around how you use the space, combining task lighting for activities with ambient lighting for relaxing. Fixture selection accounts for the room’s exposure to moisture and temperature changes, while placement considers windows to help reduce glare and reflections.

Deck Lighting

Well-planned deck lighting can make a deck easier to use in the evening while helping illuminate areas where people walk or step up and down. We consider lighting locations during the initial design, allowing the wiring to be incorporated into the deck rather than leaving exposed additions that look like an afterthought.

Soffit Lighting

Adding Soffit lighting beneath roof overhangs creates a practical source of light while keeping fixtures from becoming a prominent part of the exterior. The illumination can extend across walkways, outdoor seating areas, and patios, improving nighttime visibility without changing the look of the architecture. It's a subtle detail that can make outdoor spaces more inviting after sunset.

Ceiling Lighting

For roofed outdoor areas such as covered patios, 3/4 season rooms, and gazebos, ceiling-mounted lighting adds useful illumination from above. We consider the structure's size and configuration when selecting and positioning fixtures so the finished lighting provides comfortable coverage for dining, conversation, and entertaining.
